Project Overview

ZEE5 is a major OTT platform offering streaming services across web, mobile, and smart TVs. I served as a Technical Writer responsible for documenting the backend workflows, REST APIs, and deployment processes that powered the platform’s subscription (SVOD) and advertisement-based (AVOD) models.

Problem Space & Business Needs

Needed end-to-end API documentation for microservices powering video streaming, content delivery, and subscription models.
Faced gaps in deployment documentation across iOS, Android, and web-based systems.
Required standardized documentation for engineering, QA, and partner teams working on content delivery pipelines.

My Role & Deliverables

Created REST API references, developer onboarding guides, and deployment playbooks.
Documented workflows for Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD), Advertising Video On Demand (AVOD) and published web content using Zendesk.
Produced installation guides for mobile (iOS, Android) and web platforms, along with release documentation.

Outcomes & Business Impact
